Our award-winning television and radio commercials made for Northfield Park Racetrack, one of the nation's premiere harness tracks has led to the creation of Railbird Productions. Yes, we are "Upstarts", but in a very short time we added the new "Racinos" Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs in NY state as clients.
Creating their grand opening commercials was a challenge that might remind some of you of your own under construction facility. They needed TV spots for their parks. Pronto. Because they were still a shell of studs and drywall and would still be when a TV spot needed to go into production, there wouldn't be anything of value to shoot. No pretty footage. The facilities weren't finished yet.
What to do? Railbird to the rescue.
We asked for and gathered the architectural drawings of the facility and using motion effects we created a grand opening TV spot that knocked everyone's socks off, out of pretty much nothing! To see those and all our other award-winning commercials, click on the Commercials Sampler tile at the top of this page.
Not only that, but the spots were the talk of the town because we used both legendary voice over artists Don LaFontaine and Hal Douglas together on the same spot! Every local station who broadcast it, said to the client, "Wow! How did you get them?" Well, Railbird's own president and creative director, Paul Tapie is a radio- TV host and a voice over artist himself with agents in LA and Chicago. It's his relationship with these legendary voice talents and their agents that gives us exclusive use of their talents in the category. To find out more about many of our talented force like Paul, click onto the Our Talents tile at the top of this page. Don and Hal's fun samplers are opposite this page along with Steve Mackall, the originator of the voice for NBC's, "Must See TV".
While doing these projects, we realized we had the talented people who could meet even more of our clients needs. So, we have expanded our services and formed partnerships with some of the biggest vendors in the business, like Chyron Corp. in Mellville, NY the gold standard of the trade. The name Chyron is as synonymous to television graphics as Kleenex is to tissue. They are our partners in a new venture and service that is the new wave of advertising, digital signage. Digital signage that will be a money maker when we program it on all of your television screens. For more and to view our Railbird Digital Signage demo, click on the digital signage tile at the top of this page. To see more of our Vendors, click on the Vendors tile at the top of this page.
Then we added Railbird's, graphics Track package for racetracks and other live sporting venues. Using a Railbird Digital Signage box and Chyron server we are able to load custom graphics of drivers, owners, top tens, custom 3-D animation and more directly to a facility's TV department. lt's just a part of the 3-D logo's, motion effects and animations we custom make for each facility that we use in commercials, that can also be used in-house, in any program. Click on the Animations Sampler tile at the top of this page for samples and more.
Then we said, what about that TV department? Running as smoothly as you hope? On-site equipment wearing out? That caused us to bring a long time friend and a freaky genius under the Railbird umbrella, Malcolm Lanning, owner of Custom Mobile Products. Malcolm has developed Mobile TV control rooms that fit into a long-wheelbase, Sprinter Van that can be patched directly into your facility. Read more about our service by clicking on the tile at the top of the page. They work in conjunction with our Live Sports & Events Production, be sure to click on that tile, too.
Need us to re-tool your whole In-house TV Operations? We have just ADDED that, too.
